Programme description
In response to the growing need for professionals capable of addressing nutrition-related health challenges and supporting safe, sustainable food systems, the Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics was established to strengthen national capacity in nutrition education, public health, and food system management. This comprehensive, practice-oriented program prepares graduates for impactful careers across the health and food sectors. By integrating food science, human nutrition, community health, and foundational management principles, it provides a broad understanding of the food system from production and safety to dietary application and population health. With a strong emphasis on real world application, students gain practical skills in areas such as food chemistry, nutritional epidemiology, food processing, and nutrition program management. This generalist approach equips graduates with versatile expertise, preparing them for roles in health promotion, food safety, nutrition counseling, and public health support across diverse professional environments.
