Programme description
This program prepares professionals to address complex environmental challenges by integrating governance, policy, planning, and community engagement with advanced analytical tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Grounded in social science approaches, it provides a strong foundation in environmental management, ethics, and law, emphasizing systems thinking and the skills needed to analyze human environment interactions that promote sustainable development. GIS and other analytical tools are applied to study spatial patterns of land use, resource distribution, and community impacts, enabling evidence based decision making and strategic planning. Graduates gain expertise in environmental economics, policy, and impact assessment, and are equipped for impactful careers in policy analysis, regulatory compliance, resource governance, environmental auditing, and sustainable development initiatives, contributing to informed environmental management and societal wellbeing
